Healthy Blood Sugar Series

  • Primal Plate Wellness Bend, OR USA (map)

High blood sugar affects an estimated 35% of Americans and is on the rise. This class offers those with pre-diabetes a chance to balance blood sugar levels through diet and lifestyle adjustments - and prevent their condition from becoming diabetes. The second class in the series will put you in the kitchen, to learn to cook some health; and delicious recipes, that help manage your blood sugar. Students may register for the full series, or either or the two standalone classes.

Diet can be essential to balancing blood sugar. In the lecture-based class, you'll discover specific foods to help stabilize blood sugar, and which combinations of foods support a healthy blood sugar response in your body. In the hands-on cooking class, you’ll gain hands-on experience cooking blood sugar-healthy foods for every meal of the day:

  • Sweet Potato and Bacon Hash

  • Curried Chicken Thighs with Veggies

  • Pecan Shortbread Cookies
